RENO—Looking to stretch out those dog days? The answer may be at the other end of your leash
A recent book by canine literati Bagels, The Pooch Within, suggests that having and taking care of a human owner may almost double your life span. “They feed you, play with you, run with you and give you those little pills wrapped in cheese,” elaborates Bagels. “What else do you need to keep happy and healthy? And don’t get me started on the scratching.”
Bagels’ book also suggests other ways to elongate those later years, with activities such as shoe chewing and cat chasing. “The key is to keep active and always remember: You are a good dog. A very good dog. Atta boy.”
