Chasing Tail Okay, Vets Say. Dogs Dizzy With Delight

By LOLA
Chasing Tail Okay, Vets Say.

BOCA RATON—In the latest release from NAPDTV (National Association of Professional Dog Trainers and Veterinarians), tail chasing is revealed to actually have health benefits.

“With dog obesity on the rise, we have been looking for a cure, and the whole time it was running in circles right in front of us,” said NAPDTV spokesperson Jon Soto. NAPDTV discovered that tail chasing is a great way for dogs to burn calories, fight heart disease and lose weight.

“I always knew there was nothing wrong with me. I just happen to care about my physical condition,” said a New Jersey Terrier. After years of being labeled with such devastating acronyms as ADD (Appendage Delusion Disease), ADHD (Adorable Dog Having Delusions) and OCD (Obsessive Chasing Disorder), today tail-chasing dogs are literally running circles around each other in joy.

A huge sigh of relief came from dogs who live in urban areas. “When you live in the city, you don’t get as much room as those country-living herder dogs,” said a Miami Labradoodle. “We have to keep up our appearance twice as much in half the space. Tail chasing just makes sense.” In related news, the health benefits of jumping up and down at invisible objects still have yet to be proven.
